This painting was created to highlight the calming effect the ocean has on me. It was inspired partly by the clouds overhead in San Jose, CA and the ocean at Santa Cruz, CA.
Drawing, Painting, and sketching are strong passions of mine along with electronic design and programming. It may seem odd to have such divergent passions but they actually compliment each other quite well and provide balance in my life. I enjoy painting in both oil and acrylic mediums and prefer landscape scenes. The ocean, beach, and forests are often themes in my work with a focus on attempting to capture the "moment" whether it's animals, people, or just nature displaying it's wonder.
