This painting was inspired by my trip to Marco Island, Florida in 2015. The clouds in this scene were almost completely invisible until the sun began to set. There was a short 5-10min window where the clouds caught the sunlight just right!
Drawing, Painting, and sketching are strong passions of mine along with electronic design and programming. It may seem odd to have such divergent passions but they actually compliment each other quite well and provide balance in my life. I enjoy painting in both oil and acrylic mediums and prefer landscape scenes. The ocean, beach, and forests are often themes in my work with a focus on attempting to capture the "moment" whether it's animals, people, or just nature displaying it's wonder.
