This original painting was created to highlight the bright golden colors of autumn. I wanted to create the feeling of walking along a forest trail in mid autumn with the forest glowing around you! This was created with heavy texture using an impressionist technique for the leaves on the trail.
About Joe Mandrick
Drawing, Painting, and sketching are strong passions of mine along with electronic design and programming. It may seem odd to have such divergent passions but they actually compliment each other quite well and provide balance in my life. I enjoy painting in both oil and acrylic mediums and prefer landscape scenes. The ocean, beach, and forests are often themes in my work with a focus on attempting to capture the "moment" whether it's animals, people, or just nature displaying it's wonder.
